This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed through marcwajsberg.com, why it is processed, how long it is kept, and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is:
Clixreclame BV
Monnikendreef 5D
8300 Westkapelle, Belgium
Company number: BE 0433.733.817
Email: marc@x8agency.com
2. Which personal data do we process?
Data you provide
When you complete the commercial intake or another form, we may receive your name, email address, company name, website, optional telephone number, and your answers to the intake questions. Those answers may contain information about your company, commercial situation, objectives, budget, previous suppliers, and urgency.
Do not submit special-category personal data, national identification numbers, payment-card details, passwords, or other sensitive information through the forms.
Technical data
When you visit, our hosting and security providers may process limited technical data such as your IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser or device details, and security information. This is needed to deliver the website, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse.
Your cookie preference
The website stores your choice for necessary, analytics, and advertising technologies locally in your browser. The current inventory is set out in our cookie information.
3. Why do we use your data?
We process personal data for the following purposes and legal bases:
- To answer your enquiry and discuss a possible engagement: necessary to take pre-contractual steps at your request.
- To assess whether there is a business fit and manage our correspondence: our legitimate interest in handling enquiries carefully and personally.
- To secure the website and prevent spam or abuse: our legitimate interest in a safe and reliable service.
- To meet legal and administrative obligations: a legal obligation, for example where tax or accounting rules apply.
- To activate non-essential analytics or advertising technology: only with your consent when such technology is actually used.
We do not sell your personal data. An intake submission does not automatically enrol you in a newsletter, automated email sequence, or profiling that produces legal effects.
4. Who receives the data?
We share data only where necessary for the purposes above:
- Netlify, Inc. hosts the website and processes its forms. Submissions are stored in the protected Netlify environment and may be delivered to us through a secure notification. See Netlify’s privacy statement (opent in een nieuw tabblad) and its form-submission documentation (opent in een nieuw tabblad).
- Our email and IT service providers may process data to receive, store, and answer correspondence, solely for their technical assignment.
- Professional advisers or public authorities receive data only where legally required or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
External websites we link to have their own privacy policies. We do not determine how they process data.
5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some service providers, including Netlify, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, a transfer relies on an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or another valid safeguard. Netlify describes its international transfers and safeguards in its privacy and data-protection information.
6. How long do we keep data?
- An enquiry that does not lead to an active engagement is generally kept for no longer than 24 months after the last substantive contact.
- Client and contract data is kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for as long as necessary to meet contractual, tax, or accounting obligations and address possible legal claims.
- Technical logs are kept no longer than needed for security, troubleshooting, and the retention periods applied by the hosting provider.
- Your cookie preference remains in your browser’s local storage until you change it or clear the browser data.
You may request earlier deletion. We will delete the data unless a legal obligation or compelling legitimate reason requires continued retention.
7. What are your rights?
Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may:
- request access to your personal data;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- request erasure or restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on a legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a portable format where that right applies;
- withdraw previously given consent at any time.
Send your request to marc@x8agency.com. We may request information to verify your identity and normally respond within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (opent in een nieuw tabblad), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, or with the supervisory authority where you live or work.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss, unauthorised access, and misuse. No internet connection or storage method is entirely risk-free. Limit free-text form responses to what is necessary for us to answer your enquiry.
9. Changes and contact
We update this policy when the website, our suppliers, or applicable requirements materially change. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
